Jon has been Design Draughting & consulting for 25 years.

He has spent 9 years drawing manually and 16 years on AutoCAD & now Revit. Jon is a multi-skilled Designer able to work both in Architectural and Structural, Geotechnical & Enviornmental Disciplines.

His construction and systems knowledge is very strong having worked on site on numerous large commercial projects in Auckland. The highlight of which being Sky City Casino, Sky Tower and the Royal Sun Alliance Office Tower. Although based in Tairua, Jon also works remotely throughout the country. Jon is now available in Christchurch to help with the rebuild.

Geotechnical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Resource Consents, Surveying and Fire Engineering Design are no problem for Jon as we provide these services too, ensuring continuity and completeness to your project. Jon believes there are too many designers out there who have no practical experience and therefore no construction knowledge. Having worked on site for many years as a troubleshooter on some of the largest construction projects in the country and spent time on the tools, Jon has the strength of hands on experience. As a result Jon designs and details with the builder and limitations of construction materials and practices in mind, which balances up nicely with his creative and innovative design solutions.

Jon's strengths are in detailed analysis of technically difficult problems. We often land the steep, technically difficult jobs that others don't want because people know that we can resolve them & design the best solutions to them. Jon is familiar with the complexities of EQC & Private Insurers & their relationship thereof in a claim having recently completeted the design for the permanent stabilisation of land & buildings on a steep property affected by a slip. (In conjunction with ISPS Ltd Engineers)

Jon was one of the first designers to achieve a Design 2 Licence with the Department of Building and Housing four years ago. Jon is also a full Professional Member of ADNZ  “Architectural Designers New Zealand Inc”. This provides surety regarding  the quality of professional that you will be dealing with.
